Couldn't get to my camera fast enough for this one....girls had helped me unload the dryer while I was nursing baby, and they left the door open. Big Fat Kitty thought the inside of my dryer was a nice warm place to take a nap. :O
Baby Boy also decided he would surprise me and climb on the dishwasher to help me unload it. Big sister stood by while I ran to get the camera. This guy knew he did something funny. Look at that face!
I just noticed Baby Boy just got a new tooth, too, on the top left. It is his 3rd one, and I think the 4th will not be too far behind.
Only bad thing today/yesterday was that he got some kind of stomach bug or something and was throwing up all night, which means I was up all night. He nursed through it and was not grumpy or whiny. In fact, most of the time, he was calm during the night every time I had to change his clothes or mine. This morning he was smiling and happy in between throwing up, napping, and nursing, so I wasn't really worried about him. I was just in quarantine/wait and see mode. Dancer Girl threw up one time this afternoon, but does not seem to have it nearly as bad as Baby Brother, and that is good. Hopefully, it will miss the rest of us. My laundry room looks like Mt. Everest :O, but that is to be expected.

Works in Progress (WIPs)
Apparently, my chocolate chip bear pancakes need some work. They drew scowls and frowns and complaints from one little girl before she tasted them. Well, both girls liked them well enough after that :)And yes, Aunt Sandy, those are the cups you & mom got the girls from Bybee pottery. The pitcher of milk did not make it into the pic. We use this set all the time, thank you, the girls love it!
This is a close-up of a baby afghan I have been working on for a friend who is due any time now. I had better hurry up, because I get the feeling that baby is waiting for me to finish, haha.
It is a mile-a-minute afghan. This is my first try at this kind of pattern. Of course I altered it a little to suit what I wanted to do. I am working on the 5th strip and am going to do 6 in all. Almost done.
Lately, I have felt that I am one of the biggest works in progress there could ever be, and I thank God for that. Like you peel the outside layers off of an onion, I feel like the the brown yucky layers of me are being peeled off. Just when I get to a time in my life when I think I have worked on everything there is to work on and feel somewhat stable, then it starts over. It is to be expected, of course. This growing, changing, purging myself of undesirable traits and practicing better things. Who couldn't stand to have more love, more patience, more forgiveness?
It is good to stop and look at ourselves through God's eyes. The way He sees us. We are His workmanship, created for good works in Him. I thank God that I can be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in me will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ....my paraphrase, of course (from Philippians 1:6)
If you look closely at the afghan I am making you can see beauty and you can see imperfect stitches if you look close enough. I thank God that the things He does are perfect. He knits us together in our mother's wombs, and He does not make mistakes....
edited to add this, after sweet husband read post and reminded me of the afghan i have been making him since 1998 or 1999 i think.... sorry, husband, i will get it done someday, the pics don't do it justice....it is green and blue squares and the yarn has a shimmery tint to it that you can't really see in these pics i took rather quickly just now :)

Spring Slideshow 2008
well, here is a link to the slideshow. My dad said the original did not work, will try again later.
Happy Easter & Passover, everybody!!!!
we took most of these pics yesterday on a whim, but 6 yr old Dancer girl took all the flower shots of my crocuses and daffodils in February right after the snow we had. Aren't they gorgeous????
edited 30 minutes later....somebody out there remind me not to buy Sav a Lot dry cat food again. Apparently the combination of that and an open cat door makes the cats bring birds in the house. At least I got this poor little robin back outside while he was still alive. And now I know which kitty is culprit. Tiger Girl was caught red-handed, or should I say red-pawed. It is back to good ol' Purina for me.

well, I wrote that (above) and now blogger is not letting me add pics, so you (all 3 of you) will have to wait for another day to see what I was really going to post, ha ha ha ha
So anyway, if you are feeling very industrious and feel like clicking, you can go Here and Here and Here and see why I have been having trouble finishing my crochet projects.....
