Newton's Laws and Pregnancy

"Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it."

Well, now, that is just funny. I was thinking about Newton's Laws as I was finally loading the dishwasher today. And as I was finally loading the washer with dirty clothes.

"Every body continues in its state of rest." Well, that describes me lately. I have been soooo tired. I feel as if I am going in sloooooow mmmoooooooooo------tttiiioooonnnn. This seems to be what pregnancy does to me in the first trimester. I feel like laying down to take a nap all the time. Going to bed early.

"....compelled to change....by forces impressed upon it." Ha. Well, mostly those forces are Dancer Girl and Little One. Today, finally the forces turned out to be..... no more clean bowls or spoons.

Well, I know that is not a point that most of you get to. I hope to God you will never know the feeling of digging around to find one more clean bowl. Whatever.

So, now you know. And now I feel better. Tomorrow I will have clean spoons and bowls. I feel that now that I have started, tomorrow will go more smoothly. More dishes will get washed and more clothes will get clean. I am feeling pretty optimistic. And pretty sleepy, too, now that I think about it. And, I do know that there is probably at least one sentence in every paragraph that begins with "and." And that's really annoying, isn't it?

You have two helpers and you need some protein and iron. Lookin the book it will tell you what you need for your body and child.
You have two helpers, "Ask and you shall receive" Have a little faith in them. Sit and pray for help. Do not ask god for help, ask them.
Teach them to be servants of mankind.
Your mom will also help. I'll just watch and say ,"Wow!"
The kittens here are bouncing off the walls, sleeping and eating.

Motherkitty says, "Everything will be all better (in about nine months). Just take one day at a time."

Push a stool up to the sink, fill it with soapy dishwater and hand Dancer Girl a sponge and some bowls. She will love washing some dishes. This can be part of her home schooling.

mom and dad, this was meant to be a funny post. It is not as serious as you two make it out to be....just thought you should know....I know you guys would probably worry even if there was nothing wrong....that's what parents do, I suppose. Nothing in the world will stop me from talking to my God, btw, and the girls do help, more than you know, all the time......

I felt that way the first 3-4 months of both of my pregnancies, just add constant nausea and frequent vomiting. It gets better. I'm glad you can have such an optomistic outlook!

Yes, thank God for no morning sickness. That is how I look at it. I have had friend who have had morning sickness for 6 mos or 9 mos, and I think, Man, if they can do it, so can I. I just got tickled that loading the dishwasher made me think of Newton's laws.

Oh my goodness, congrats! I've been so out of the loop lately, but now that I'm trying to get back INTO the loop, this is definitely such wonderful news. I hope you start to feel better though. That tiredness was such a bear when I went through it. Thank goodness for Mom and Dad though, huh. :)

Ali,
I know how very tiring that first trimester can be (since I was recently reminded!haha!) Will pray for you to get more rest and have more energy. It's no wonder that you're tired, 24-7 you're busy making a whole new human!
I had morning sickness up to 7 months or so, and Jess had it right up to nearly the end... so I'm counting your blessings along with you! :)(and praying it stays that way!!!)
Love you!

Hey sleepy head, just nap everytime the girls nap. If they don't nap, just add a new subject to their curriculum...naptime.
