Carrots & Celery

My four year old daughter just asked for celery and carrots with her lunch. Somebody pick me up off the floor. After the breakfast fiasco, this is a miracle.

At least she didn't ask for green eggs and ham. So, what happened at breakfast other than her refusing to eat her pancake?

Well, when you put it like that, it doesn't sound very terrible, does it??? It turns out I had to negotiate with her later about the carrots, anyway. After peace talks, I agreed to give her a sweet treat after she ate one baby carrot. First she tried to eat some tortilla, but we all know tortillas are not carrots. She painstakingly nibbled the carrot. After every bite, she asked if it was enough to get the chocolate. After the first bite, she even said, "Look, I ate half of it, is that enough." No kidding. Anyway, she was the one who asked for the carrot-- I only gave her celery.
