Now this is my kind of Olympian!! What a hero! She is my age, and won Olympic Gold with a 2 year old. Wow!

And she is from Russia. My mom's side of the family is from Russia, so I am very glad she won!

Svetlana Zhurova Was born in St.Petersburg. She was the world speedskating champion in 1996 and the silver medal winner in 1998-2000. Zhurova won the bronze medal in the 2001 World Championships.

Beautiful...did you see the story about the Norwegian coach giving the Canadian skiier a pole after hers broke. We went on to win the silver, thanks to their help. Now that's sportsmanship.

I've been loving the Olympics. Loved the heart shown by the Chinese pairs skaters who took silver.

I didn't see the one about the Norwegian coach. I haven't been able to watch as much of the olympics as I have wanted. I did see the Chinese pairs skaters, and theirs was an amazing story.
