Hotsy Totsy
Apparently our air conditioner unit is out. The thermostat reads 81 degress. I left messages with 3 different heat/air places this evening, and hopefully someone will call back in the morning. Thank God for ceiling fans, and also that our place has plentiful shade, and lots of trees. I don't worry so much about husband and I. I just don't want the girls or the kittens to be so hot. Would have to look back at my calendar but I think they are only 4 or 5 weeks old. They were born on the Monday that marked one week from mom's surgery, so I guess that would have been April 17.
too bad we gave away all our oscillating fans....

When ours goes out the landlord has someone out here that day or the next because it gets hot here. One of the advantages of renting.
Ceiling fans are great I love ours.
Good luck with getting a repair man.
Heavens!!! I wonder what people did before they invented airconditioners?
Jimmy hates one on so we seldom use them...But long about July when it gets really muggy in the evenings, I like it on to thrarwt (sp?) the humidity...I don't mind the heat, but I don't like feeling sticky.
We're outside most of the time anyway.
Right before bed it was almost 90 degrees in here. I lived in a college dorm with no AC and the heat doesn't bother me much. Right now I am more concerned about the girls. We had Mama kitty and the kittens on the front porch for about 5 minutes before we heard a terrible snarling and growling. I jumped up to rescue the kittens and mama, but never saw the dog. It was very unusual, there are usually no loose dogs around here, and I don't know where this one came from.
Hopefully you'll get your AC fixed pretty soon and after reading MK blog it sounds like you may need a second mortgage to get things done. Are you sure you need to rewire your WHOLE house? That's a pretty expensive venture unless you have a licensed electrician family member at your disposal.
